February 17th is celebrated as National PTA Founder's Day. It is a day to remember the considerable roll that PTA has played locally, regionally and nationally.
PTA's founders Alice McCellen Birney, Phoebe Apperson Hearst and Selena Sloan Butler were true visionaries. They had one true idea in common - the future of all children.
Today, the PTA has has become one of the largest volunteer organizations in the United States.
